EU AI Act Authorised Representative
Deploy your AI in Europe with full legal confidence
If your organization is established outside the EU and provides certain high-risk AI systems or places general-purpose AI (GPAI) models on the EU market, you may be required to appoint an EU authorised representative under Articles 22 or 54 of the EU AI Act.
DilicheckRep provides EU-based authorized representative services for non-EU providers under Articles 22 and 54 of the EU AI Act, including high-risk AI systems and general-purpose AI models, helping ensure that your organization meets the applicable regulatory representation requirements.

When is an authorised representative required

Your organization is established outside the EU

You place AI systems on the EU market

Your AI system qualifies as High-Risk AI system (art 22) or general-purpose AI models (art 54).
Article 22 – High-risk AI systems
Providers established outside the EU must appoint an EU-based authorised representative by written mandate before making certain high-risk AI systems available on the Union market.
High-risk AI systems may include AI used for certain purposes in areas such as healthcare, medical devices, financial services, employment, critical infrastructure, biometric identification and other regulated environments.
Applicability depends on the intended purpose and regulatory classification of the AI system.
Article 54 — General-purpose AI models (GPAI)
Providers established outside the EU that place a general-purpose AI model on the Union market must generally appoint an EU-based authorised representative by written mandate before placing the model on the market.
The representative performs specific functions under Article 54, including verifying that required technical documentation has been prepared, retaining relevant documentation, cooperating with the AI Office and competent authorities, and acting as an EU regulatory contact for the provider.
Certain general-purpose AI models released under a qualifying free and open-source licence may be exempt from this requirement, unless the model presents systemic risk.
